Apex Mountain Resort remains one of the hidden gems of Canadian skiing. Located a short 30 minute drive from Penticton, BC, Apex is a full service destination resort with quality snow, great weather, incredible terrain, and friendly people. Apex being located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, features the perfect mix between large amounts of precipitation and low humidity that makes for the lightest champagne powder snow imaginable. Smiles stretch from ear to ear, as locals and visitors alike hoot and holler amongst the glades & open terrain, leaving clouds of powdery snow to lightly settle behind them. With an average temperature of -4 C, Apex receives about 600 cm of dry "Okanagan" powder each season.

Hours of operation: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm everyday from December 3rd – April 8th.
Friday, Saturday and holidays; the Okanagan run and the bunny hill are open for night skiing from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. Friday nights are $7.50 for a lift tickets and $7.50 for rentals. What a great deal.

Tim Horton’s Tube Park
Lift accessed and located next to the A3 Mountain Shop, this fun ride will keep you sliding for hours. A very popular activity ideal for all ages.

Fairview Mohawk Hockey Rink
Our NHL sized outdoor hockey rink is the perfect location for a pick-up hockey game, curling, bonspiels and skating practices. Private bookings are available through the Sales Department. The hockey rink is lit, Zamboni maintained and available for group use. We have a selection of skates available for rental.
Adventure Skating Loop
Skate through the trees on our 1 km long Zamboni maintained ice loop. The loop is lit in the evenings until 11 pm. Contact Addy Gowe in the Sales Department at addy@apexresort.com to arrange a private bonfire for your special event.
Cross-country Skiing
Nickelplate Nordic Centre offers the longest season in Canada on 56 km of beautifully groomed trails for classic and skate skiing.

Snowshoeing
One of the fastest growing snowsport adventures. Exercise in the fresh air while enjoying the natural beauty of Apex Mountain. There are plenty of snow shoeing trails all over the resort from easy strollers to challenging hill climbs. This is a perfect way for outdoor enthusiasts to spend their day. The Edge Bistro
Slide into this unique Ski-In and Ski-Out coffee shop at the base of the ski runs. Offering the best in specialty coffees and homemade baking, The Edge Bistro also serves great soups, stews, wraps and mouth-watering breakfast bagels. Specializing also in catering and vegetarian. Open early everyday for breakfast, lunch and apres-ski.
The Tempest Room Restaurant
A fantastic ski-in and ski-out dining experience located in the Apex Mountain Inn, and right in the heart of the village. This cozy and unique restaurant has an excellent menu and is great for intimate dinners as well as celebrating with friends. Drop in anytime for a truly Apex experience.
The Longshot Cafeteria
The Longshot Cafeteria is located in the Apex Mountain Village. When you want convenient fast service on those big powder days, this is the place to go. The Longshot Cafeteria provides breakfast and lunch.
The Gunbarrel Saloon
Come for the light, dry, deep powder and stay for what is, has been, and will remain the #1 Ski Bar in Canada. Located in the centre of the village, our events will be double the fun. In our Dining Room we offer a special treat, the legendary Gunbarrel coffee... flaming Grand Marnier poured down a Doublebarrel Shotgun into an assortment of fine liqueurs and coffee. The Rental Shop
Located in the Apex Mountain Village, The Rental Shop has over 400 pairs of regular, high performance and children's ski rental sets. The snowboard rental fleet is larger than ever before to accommodate the increasing number of new snowboarders. Skate rentals are also available.
The Trading Post
The Trading Post is a "General Store" right in the Apex Village, so you can easily pick-up whatever you need! Events
Apex is famous for their great events and training facilities. Come and watch the Olympic Freestyle Teams train for the World Cup Circuit, and watch a Nor Am Moguls, dual moguls and aerials events, being held at Apex this winter. Apex Ski Club and Apex also host alpine events. Check out the apex website for a complete listing of upcoming events.
